Why is this role for me?
You want to work on large, complex new build and infrastructure projects in NSW and be the face of the business when it comes to bids.
Reading and understanding drawings is second nature to you and therefore you can create accurate BOQ’s and do take off’s confidently.
Working for a specialist waterproofing subcontractor you’ll go to tender meetings with the likes of Lend Lease, John Holland, Hutchinson and Probuild giving you exposure to some of the state’s best projects.
Within the team you’ll help to prepare the bid, produce complete packages and do some design development.
If you enjoy winning work, being involved in iconic projects and are confident in your estimating/QS abilities then this is the role for you.
What can you tell me about the company?
Established over 20 years they are a friendly, personable, and well-run family waterproofing specialist subcontractor. They work all over Australia and now due to consistent growth they only deal with tier 1 and very large tier 2 builders
As a company, they have their own products and are always looking to develop new techniques and systems to increase their quality and standards on site.
As one of the leaders in their sector, they also do remedial work, concrete repair, specialised expansion joint systems, and epoxy floorings so they are now managing packages up to $10million one site and covering multiple trades.
With around 70 staff and T/O at $28million they have grown steadily over the last 5 years whilst still retaining that family feel and flexibility for their staff.
How can you be successful as an Estimator/QS?
You’ll be confident in your abilities and most importantly be able to produce accurate BOQ’s and take offs from reading complex drawings.
You won’t need to be a waterproofing expert but a background across new build and infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
You’ll be happy working autonomously and across a few different projects at the same time. You’ll get constant daily access with the General Manager who is a top guy and easy to work with.
