Why is this role for me?
You’re a person who loves the fast-paced nature of the construction industry and the fitout sector. Managing your own time and projects without being micromanaged is perfect for you.
You’ve successfully delivered projects before and know how to handle subbies, ensure that a site is safe, and can deliver to time and budget.
Working directly with the business owner you’d get plenty of direction with support from CA’s, SM’s and estimators.
In time you will be able to deliver new build projects in the commercial, retail and hospitality sectors.
With a long diverse client list and 5 years of operating as a builder they are ready to grow the team so you could be a construction manager with people reporting to you in the future.
If you consider yourself a bit of an allrounder and enjoy multitasking, then this is the role for you.
What can you tell me about the company?
With 30 full time staff they are at a point of great growth potential with plenty of live projects and repeat clients looking to give them more work.
Their hands-on director has a tier 1 background and delivers his projects based on quality and service. With his positive, outgoing and fun nature he wants a PM to help him grow the company whilst also enjoying themselves.
You’d get to manage your own time, make your own decisions and help develop stronger relationships with clients ensuring that you’ll climb the career ladder in the company.
With a track record of delivering fitout projects from $100k – $10million in the office, retail, hotel, hospitality and commercial sectors they have a built a large base of tried and tested subbies and have the knowledge within the company to deliver great results.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- PM experience within Australia with the fitout or refurb sector.
- Confident that you can handle 3-4 projects at anyone time and multitask your workload.
- Have worked for a small growing company before and therefore can work autonomously.
- You’ll want to grow your skillset in the role and develop into a senior role in the future.
- Have an outgoing, can do attitude and enjoy having a laugh whilst you work.
- Ability to use Procure software would be advantageous.
